Snowed in!

This is the kind of day one hopes for at least once during the winter season. We were finally hit by a significant snowstorm, and therefore we've been snuggled in at home all day long!

The boys and I curled up together this morning and read our next chapter of "Little Britches"...oh, how I love that book! We played a family game of "Life" this afternoon, and thanks to my undeterred husband who was determined to grill out despite the weather, we enjoyed a little taste of summer for supper...brats and hamburgers!

I just finished making a batch of caramel corn which we'll enjoy with hot chocolate while we watch "Little House On the Prairie" tonight. Yes, that's right. I have boys (the biggest one included) who humor me and exercise incredible forbearance toward my undying allegiance to Michael Landon.

It's been a simple day...a special day...a day to experience and thank God for the joys of winter.
