I came across this picture this afternoon. It struck a chord with me, as it was taken almost exactly 14 years ago, the Sunday before my life was forever changed.
My feet were incredibly swollen (to the point that the only thing that fit were slippers).
My tummy was waaay big.
And I was giddily happy as I anticipated the fast-approaching birth of our firstborn.
Little did I know that before that week was up, I'd be snuggling him in my arms, a whole week early...

I remember that living room. The kitchen just behind you where you made countless yummy goodies for us, the stairs off the kitchen where we would get together for friday nights with friends, or where I would later watch drew while you had an activity. That is also the living room where some crazy teenage girls dropped off a Olive Garden cake....look where that went. So many great memories in that living room. All great memories cherished in my heart. Happy Birthday Drew!
Brings back memories for me to Nikki. It seems like forever ago and yet only yesterday... friendship is such a precious gift. Being a wife and mother is such a blessing... I rejoice with you Nikki as you celebrate Drew's birthday!
