Our two younger boys share a room, and therefore, a closet. Their dresser resides within their closet.
And while we do the occasional sorting, vacuuming, and re-organizing of the closet, we don't often do a thorough, drag-everything-out kind of cleaning.
*point which will soon become obvious
The boys and I were sifting through outgrown or never worn clothes today, trying to simplify both their lives and mine. Our middle son really loves to be organized, so he was totally into this! I love working with him ~ he's a hard, diligent worker!
As we made our way through their closet, our son excitedly discovered all kinds of lost treasures. Souvenirs from our vacation to Washington D.C. Pictures from summer camp. CDs he'd thought were gone forever. Eventually he reached behind the aforementioned dresser and pulled out these:
A tiny pair of little boy lounge pants (size 6) which were once worn by the little boys in my house...at least the first two. I think they may have been behind the dresser when they would have fit our third son! It was like opening a time capsule! I found it especially poignant that our middle son---who found them--- would live in lounge pants if he could! Note he's even wearing them in the above picture! When he revealed his find to me, I broke into this crazy mix of emotion. By this time all the boys had gathered and asked quizzically, "Mom, are you laughing or crying?" Trust me...I heard myself. It was anybody's guess.
And if that weren't enough, there was one additional valuable find...
*shrinking away in embarrassment*
Hope your week is filled with unexpected surprises and blessings!

That first picture has me giggling. The second one - too sweet!!!
You are a wonderful mom - who cares what lies behind your dressers. Besides, you wouldn't have had as much fun cleaning now if you had kept up.
