A Treasure of Remembrance

I've known my friend, Tania, since she was just 15. She was one of "my girls" in our very first youth group. Tania is a fantastically creative, passionate, live-each-moment-to-the-full kind of girl. Combine that with her tender, thoughtful, and bigger-than-life heart and you've got this amazing woman with an embrace-and-give-thanks-for-each-moment attitude.

Since walking through the unexpected loss of her mom less than 2 years ago, Tania has been chronicling her mom's life through her beautiful scrapbooks: a tribute, a remembrance, a celebration. Now she wants to walk beside others who have experienced loss, helping and listening to those who wish to chronicle their loved ones' lives. It is my great pleasure to inform you of an online class that she is offering to help you do just that:

In Loving Memory by Tania Willis
April 9 - May 7
During this 5-week course (one session per week), Tania will help spur you on to create an album dedicated to a loved one you have lost, all the while encouraging you to be gentle on yourself through the process. She will provide prompts and challenges to help you get your thoughts in order and onto the page, as well as suggestions for selecting photos and how to overcome the dilemma of not having many photos at all. In addition, page sketches will be offered and a variety of embellishment techniques will be taught along the way. There's no better way than to complete a treasured project than in the company of a supportive teacher who is on her own journey of remembrance after losing her mom very suddenly and unexpectedly the summer of 2007. “It’s scrapbooking as a healing therapy, not just art.”

Registration is now OPEN here: http://debbiehodge.squarespace.com/in-loving-memory/
Cost: $25

So very cool Nikki! I had to make sure I was on the right blog as I forget my scrapbooking world sometimes collides with my homeschooling world and it throws me for a loop! LOL!
