Evidence

Messed up kitchen:  My family has food to eat. I have a kitchen in which I can prepare meals for my family and make memories with my youngest son (who happens to be a pretty significant foodie). I can create and encourage and fill both stomachs and hearts.

Evidence.

Overflowing laundry basket:  We have enough clothes to wear.  See how my dirty laundry backs up into the clothes chute?  But I digress.  The point is, my family is warm and protected against the cold winter wind and snow.  God has never left us unprotected.

Evidence.

Cluttered stairway:  My family is healthy.  They come in and out of the back entry, putting on and shedding shoes and coats.  Through all the comings and goings, God has granted us health in order to learn and love and minister and share.

Evidence.

Unmade bed:  We have a place to come home at night, safe from the pressures that build up and the wars that rage.  God has given us a home of love and grace.  He is our refuge and hope.  And even when it's tough "out there," we can lie down and sleep in peace because He is in control.

Evidence.

Evidence that He uses the seemingly mundane performed by the seemingly insignficant to communicate that from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.  It's all about Him.

Guilty! Guilty of being loved and provided for by an ever faithful God!

What a beautiful post and so comforting to those of us who also have laundry piles and other chores lining up for their turn at our time.

So thankful to have those chores and the family that creates messes!

Those pictures are going to be so precious to you in about 10 years, don't you think? I think I'll take a few of my own. The laundry chute picture is my favorite...makes me giggle even referring to it! Thanks for the reminder that the very things that often overwhelm me or feel mundane and never ending are evidence of LIFE...and a very blessed life at that!!! LOVE YOU!
