I received a text from a friend one day last year,
asking if I was home and if she could drop something off.
Curious as to what it might be,
I eagerly awaited her arrival.
A few moments later,
she appeared on my doorstep extending a cd to me.
It was an autographed copy by one of our favorites---
Andrew Peterson.
With a smile on her face, she lovingly urged me to listen to the song, You'll Find Your Way.
"It's your song," she encouraged.
I'm convinced that knowing and tracking with a friend's heart is a learned art; to ask not only what's happening in her life, but to remember...to follow up...to feel it alongside her.
That's what this friend did for me that day.
And in an unexpected way, she was a vessel God used to pour hope and courage into my soul.
So this is for the sons of my heart:
sons growing, spreading their wings, and preparing to fly.
Hold fast, my sons.

{you'll find your way}
Thus says the Lord:
"Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls."
Jeremiah 6:16
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
Hebrews 10:23
