About Me

I've been married to my high school sweetheart and best friend for 25 years.  Together we had the joy of shepherding the hearts of our three now-grown boys.  We even got to recently add a daughter-in-love to the mix!

After serving side by side with my husband in full-time youth ministry for 19 years, we transitioned into the role of Family Life & Discipleship (happily within the same church we've served since 1997).  With a growing passion for marriage---as well as ministry to women---I'm enjoying increased opportunities to disciple and encourage women in all walks of life.  My great joy is serving side by side with my husband. I long to model and teach the joy and satisfaction of Biblical womanhood.

I am passionate about the home; being intentional, creating memories and traditions.  As our boys have gotten older, I've become more and more aware of how quickly the days pass.  I long to be purposeful as I embrace and invest each day for the glory of God.

Cooking is one of my great loves.  I dream of one day opening my own catering business, coffee house, or tea room.  To me, cooking is about much more than simply food.  It's about nourishing body and soul and making memories.

My blog covers all of the above and then some.  Many times, my blog posts are intensely personal.  I don't necessarily say anything new or profound that someone else hasn't already stated more clearly or better.  But many of my entries are a means by which I process the stuff of life.  My blog is about how my faith in Jesus Christ impacts all of life.  It's about how He is faithful through the mountaintops and the valleys; how He is consistent and unchanging when everything else is changing.  It's my journey of learning to trust Him and relinquish control.  It's about knowing that it's only in Him that I find true life and joy and fulfillment.
