It matters not that it's a cold, windy 14 degrees outside. It matters not that we got more snow yesterday. It matters not that, realistically, we're likely in for several more weeks (months?) of the above.
What matters is that tomorrow is February 28, and in my somewhat quirky mind, that means the official end of winter. Humor me here, okay? On March 1, everything becomes new and winter turns to spring...or at least the hope of it.
So while I still can, I thought I'd post one final winter picture to bid this season a swift farewell. Hope your hearts are rejoicing in and anticipating the wonderful hope of Spring. Our God keeps His promises and does, indeed, make everything new.
Have a joy-filled weekend with those you love!

Come visit us, Nikki, and you'll have not only spring, but SUMMER! It was a balmy 92 degrees here this afternoon. I don't mean to rub it in...I just mean to compel you to come take spring (or should I say, summer) break here with us :o)!
Well, we're supposed to have snow today and be in the 70's by the weekend! Come on down! XOXO
I am so looking forward to spring too! It is not too far off as the days are getting longer with the children awake earlier each day and the sun still shining at suppertime. :)
My grandma once told me how much more we appreciate the other seasons when we have been through a long winter. How I long for the fresh newness of life in spring that in turn becomes the bright greens and warmth of summer.
Enjoy our brief warm-up!
I am ready for spring too Nikki! I am itching to fill containers with beautiful flowers and marvel at the baby birds that will be born in our birdhouses.
I am always so encouraged when I visit your blog and find music to add to my iPod. : ) Bethany just peeked in the door and said, "I love that song, Mom!"
Happy Week-end!
Julie D.
