I just reached a milestone.
I have officially been married to my husband for more than half my life.
I've lived with him longer than I ever lived without him.
7,009 days, to be exact. But who's counting?
I am.
Because in a day and age where marriage is
no longer celebrated,
taken for granted,
not prioritized,
made a mockery,
easily disposed---
I want to be certain that I never let up or give up.
By God's grace, I long to be ever growing and learning
how to be his best friend;
humbly confessing when I am wrong;
and keeping short accounts of his wrongs.
I want to intentionally show him faithful love and respect.
I want my man and a watching world to see the
wonderful grace of God in action;
grace that is so readily and abundantly available
that instead of marital love growing cold and stale,
it can continue to grow in increasing joy and satisfaction.
That's why I'm celebrating this 7,009th day of our marriage.
By God's grace, it keeps getting better and better.

Beautiful! Congratulations!
Congrats...love it!
Congrats! I just figured it out...I will be married for half my life...when I am 48. 24 years at 48.
You must have been a child bride....
(grin)
Tim and I have been so encouraged by the obvious love and respect you and Jon have for each other.
You set a high standard!
We pray He will bless you today, and thousands of days more!
