The Christmas season engages all our senses.
What woman doesn't respond to a warm, sincere greeting?
A steaming, fragrant cup of hot spiced cider?
Christmas melodies played upon the ivories?
What woman can resist sweet time with friends
while taking in the sights and sounds of the Christmas season?
For the past 10 years, our church has been hosting a ladies' Christmas outreach which features beautifully decorated tables by volunteer designers. What started out somewhat small now reaches 450 women!
This festive event is a highlight of the year for so many. Because the beautifully decorated tables and the delicious meal with friends give way to the reason for everything: the Gift of Jesus sent for the remission of our sins.
Each year my friend, Heather, and I decorate a table together. This year we decided on a "White Christmas" theme. Her husband helped bring our vision together by constructing a fabulous wood table top out of old barn wood ~ thanks, Jason!
