Remember this?

We started some house projects last fall, and while they're still not complete, we have checked one off our list.  Our second bathroom is finally finito!  The beautiful thing about putting in a second bathroom after 20 years making due with one is that there's really no hurry.

Some of the delay was out of our hands.  First, of course, we ran into the unexpected need for further demolition and rebuilding.  Secondly, we were sometimes dependent upon the availability of our professional friends.  They gave so much expertise, assistance, and time!  And finally, I encouraged my husband to take it slow (most the time).  He gave up so much of his free time---so much of himself---making this vision a reality.  He worked incredibly hard, and I'm forever grateful for his heart for me and our boys.

So without further ado, here's a few snapshots of our new little space.  All that remains is the accessorizing---you know, the fun stuff!  :)

As I told Jon last night, I LOVE our little bathroom.  It's exactly what I'd envisioned and dreamed about!  I'm still getting used to the idea that there doesn't need to be a line-up outside one bathroom anymore.  Old habits die hard, you know!  Anyhow, after all these years, this family of 5 is extremely grateful!

And allow me to publicly thank my husband and his crew of friends who provided not only the know-how and the blood, sweat, and tears, but also endless entertainment, conversation, and memories!
