Family Day!

Thursdays have long been one of our family's most eagerly anticipated days of the week. You see, it's my husband's day off, which means it's "Family Day!" Family Day comes in all different styles and varieties...but one thing is certain: we always have fun!

Last night we enjoyed one of our theme dinners. While my husband and I talked with our boys in the morning, I gave them their mission: we all needed to appear at dinner in the craziest outfit we could pull together.

Yes, I recognize what a frightening position I'd put myself in. I recognize that in this house full of boys, crazy outfits include underwear on the head and socks dangling off of ears. But I'm learning (albeit slowly) that sometimes, if I can't beat 'em...why not join 'em? And I guess that's my feeble attempt at explaining my crazy outfit. Yes, our youngest son actually said, "Mommy, you're scary!" Was it my backwards ponytail, my mismatched outfit, or my piggy toe socks?

Needless to say, the meal was spirited, lively, and a whole lotta fun! And best of all...we made another memory.
